What does single-circuit system in air suspension mean?

A single-circuit system in air suspension means that there is only one air circuit that is used for all air springs in the vehicle. This means that all air springs are connected to the same air source and the pressure in all air springs is adjusted simultaneously.

In a single-circuit system, there is usually a control valve and, if necessary, an air compressor that are responsible for controlling the air supply and pressure in the air suspension. When the pressure is increased, the pressure in all air springs increases simultaneously, and when the pressure is released, the pressure in all air springs decreases simultaneously.

A single-circuit system can be simple and inexpensive because it requires fewer components than a dual-circuit system. However, it can also have some disadvantages, such as limited control over the pressure in each air spring, which can mean that the vehicle may not be as stable and balanced as with a two-circuit system.

As a result, many vehicle manufacturers and air suspension manufacturers now prefer dual-circuit systems, which offer greater flexibility and control, especially for larger and heavier vehicles such as RVs.
