How fast is a motorhome with a trailer allowed to drive?

The maximum speed allowed for a motorhome with a trailer depends on several factors, such as the weight of the motorhome and trailer, the type of trailer, and local legislation.

In Germany, motorhomes with a gross vehicle weight of up to 3.5 tons and a trailer with a gross vehicle weight of up to 750 kg are allowed to drive a maximum of 80 km/h on highways. On rural roads, the maximum speed limit is 80 km/h, provided that the total permissible weight of the trailer does not exceed 3.5 tons. If the total weight of the trailer is more than 3.5 tons, the maximum speed limit is 60 km/h on highways and 80 km/h on rural roads.
