Citroen Jumper with load-bearing frame

Before fitting a towbar to your Citroen Jumper, it is important to check whether the chassis has sufficient extension and load-bearing capacity. Vehicles with the Hymer Exsis body may have a load-bearing chassis that is extended to fit a towbar. 

To determine if a frame extension is load-bearing, refer to our blog. If the vehicle already has a load-bearing frame extension, the cost of installing a towbar is lower as no additional extension is needed.

Citroen Jumper without a load-bearing frame

If your Citroen Jumper does not have a load-bearing frame extension, you must first retrofit one before fitting a towbar. The frame extension serves as the foundation for attaching the trailer hitch and the rear garage. It includes frame adapters, frame extensions and reinforcement sets.
