Adjusting the height of the towball

The product fits all towbars with a 90mm or 83x56mm hole spacing towball.

The centre of the towball should be between 35 and 42cm from the ground. On certain vehicles with raised suspensions, such as off-road vehicles or heavily loaded vehicles, this height can be altered. In this case a special plate must be used to adjust the height of the towball.

The adapter can be fitted either up or down and the two-bolt hitchball can be screwed into the upper or lower holes. This allows the height of the ball to be adjusted over a wide range (up to 105mm) depending on the height of the vehicle or load. This prevents unpleasant situations such as the trailer tipping over while driving, which often results in damage.

Towball extension (+75 mm)

The universal towball adapter is used, among other things, to extend the towball by 75 mm.

The adapter is particularly useful if your car's towbar is too deep and prevents you from fitting a bike carrier, for example, or does not allow you to open the tailgate with a bike carrier fitted. It will also be useful in any other situation where the towball is too close to the trunk.

The plate can also be used as an adapter for a flanged towball from two bolts spaced 90 mm apart to 4 bolts spaced 83x56 mm apart and vice versa. So whether your hitch ball has 2 or 4 bolts, you can fit absolutely any towing accessory available.
