This complete towbar installation kit offers a complete solution for fitting a towbar to motorhomes with an AL-KO frame. It contains all the necessary components to carry out the installation easily and efficiently.
Scope of delivery:

- Universal towbar for motorhome in different variants: fixed, horizontally detachable or vertically detachable.

Advantages of the AL-KO frame for RVs
The AL-KO lowered chassis have been specially developed for motorhomes and offer decisive advantages:

How to fit a towbar to an AL-KO frame motorhome?
Equipment variants for frame extension:
The following scenarios are available for fitting a towbar to motorhome:
- Motorhomes with an existing frame extension:
If a chassis extension is already present, a universal towbar can be fitted directly.
- RVs without a frame extension:
Fitting a frame extension to a motorhome is required here. The required length is calculated by the distance between the end of the original chassis and the (minus approx. 10 cm).
Variants of the versatile towbar:
- Fixed towball: Ideal for regular trailer operation.
- Towball detachable horizontally: Preserves the vehicle's appearance when the coupling is not required.
- Vertically detachable towball: The motorhome hitch becomes almost invisible when it is removed.

Accessories and optional components
- Side plates and towbar adapters:
These adjustment plates are used between the frame by AL-KO, frame extension and towbar to flexibly adjust the height of the coupling. Particularly useful if the towball needs to be lowered.
- Electric kit for the Recreational Vehicle’s towbar:
The complete motorhome towbar installation kit includes a matching electrical kit. There are universal and vehicle-specific variants (e.g. for the Fiat Ducato type 250).
- 7-pin towbar electric kits: For basic trailer or towbar bike carrier
