This high-quality tailgate bike rack from the Italian manufacturer MENABO was specially developed for the full width of the Volkswagen Caddy III (Type 2K) and WV Caddy IV (Type SA), which were produced between 2015 and 2020.

The VW Caddy, a well-known panel van from Volkswagen Group, was introduced as the successor to the Volskwagen 9KV (named also Volkswagen Polo Caddy).

The Shadow bike carrier is designed to transport up to three bicycles and fits all models in the Caddy 2K/SA series, including Kombi, EcoFuel (CNG), Alltrack, Maxi, Life Maxi and special models such as JAKO-O, Soccer, Team and Colour Concept.

Rear carrier for e-bike with mounting on the tailgate

The rear bike carrier is mounted on the tailgate using vehicle-specific brackets and enables the safe transport of up to three bicycles or two e-bikes with a total weight of up to 45 kg.

It has a flexible design and is suitable for bikes with different frame shapes, tyre sizes and widths. Technical details include a frame diameter of 30-50 mm (round) and 30 x 30-50 x 70 mm (oval), tyre sizes of 22-29 inches as well as a maximum tyre width of 110 mm and a centre distance of 114 cm.

Thanks to the adjustable brackets and long straps, the tailgate bike rack is also ideal for mountain bikes and fat bikes.

For cars with and without towbars

The pre-assembled rear bike carrier is ready for immediate use and does not require any complicated assembly. Although the SHADOW from MENABO has been specially developed for attachment to the tailgate and does not need a towbar, vehicles with a towbar can also use it as even a second bike carrier on the towbar.
