This bike carrier is a high-quality tailgate bike rack from the Italian manufacturer MENABO, specially developed for the full width of the VW T6, one of Volkswagen's best-known vans.

The VW T6 (type SG/SH) is the official name of the VW bus from the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand, which was launched on the market as the successor to the T5 after the 2015 facelift.

The Shadow bike rack is designed for up to three bikes and fits all models in the T6 series, including T6, T6.1, Kombi, California, Transporter, Multivan, Bus and Caravelle.

Carrier for e-bike with mounting on the tailgate

The rear carrier is mounted on the tailgate with vehicle-specific brackets and can transport up to three conventional bikes or two e-bikes with a total weight of up to 45 kg. It is suitable for bikes with different frame shapes, tyre sizes and widths. Details: frame diameter: 30-50 mm / ~ 1,2-2 inches  (round); 30 x 30-50 x 70 mm / 1,2 x 1,2 – 2 x 2,75 inches (oval); tyre size: 22-29 inches; tyre width: maximum 110 mm / 4,3 inch; wheelbase: 114 cm / 45 inches. Thanks to adjustable brackets and long straps, Menabo Shadow tailgate carrier is also suitable for mountain bikes and fat bikes.

Tailgate bicycle carrier - for cars with and without towbars

The pre-assembled bicycle rack is ready for immediate use and does not require any complicated assembly. Although the SHADOW is designed for the tailgate and does not require a towbar, vehicles with a towbar can also use a trailer or a second bike carrier.
